Kelly Daniel for PfISD Trustee
Our Work Has Just Begun.
Kelly was elected in 2023 in a Special Election, so her term has been one year shorter than most, but that doesn't mean she hasn't made big impacts on the shape and direction of the district. She began as a district volunteer well before her children first set foot on a PfISD campus. Below is a summary of her accomplishments as a volunteer for PfISD.

Set tax rate at $1.1069, a $0.0023 cent tax rate reduction from prior year & the lowest tax rate in PfISD in more than 30 years.

Worked with Dr. Shepherd and the rest of the committee to revise the previous evaluation instrument to one that better suits the Board's current needs.​

Kelly met with members of the mental health community as well as members of the faith community prior to the vote required by Senate Bill 763. She collaborated with District staff, co-authoring the resolution approved unanimously by the Board, allowing chaplains to continue to volunteer in the district in other capacities, but not be employed as counselors solely based on their status as chaplains.

Nominated by a sitting Trustee to serve on Pflugerville ISD's Strategic Action Team. Kelly worked with a group of educators, district employees, and community members to develop an action plan to retain effective employees committed to the best interests of students.
